Market rules
Each round records an opening price and a closing price from the same price you see on the chart. Settlement uses that price, not a screenshot from another website.

Win rule
If the close is at or above the opening price, UP wins. If it is below, DOWN wins. Winning shares pay $1. Losing shares pay $0.
Rounds
When a round ends, the next one starts right away. Each market and round length is its own live round. You always trade the live round unless you are looking at history. The Markets list shows how far each market sits from its round’s opening price.
FAQ
What if the close equals the open?
UP wins. A close a hair above the opening price, or exactly on it, still settles UP.
Where does the price come from?
The Current Price panel on UpDown lists the exchanges it uses: Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX, and Bybit. The chart, the share prices, and settlement all use that one price.
